Would you like to join us for a relaxed walk through the whole park?GuideWalk_1
The Park Rangers will take you on a guided tour through areas that are normally closed to the public for a chance to see the East and West sides of the Park’s Sanctuary Areas, including some birdwatching spots and the shoreline. We will discuss some of the changes we have seen in the Park’s forest over these nearly 40 years.

The day’s schedule

Meet at the ranger counter in the Nature Centre and sign up for free binocular rental.
Enjoy a Guide walk in the park.

13:00-
Lunch (Brown bag meeting) in the Lecture room in the Nature Center.

GuideWalk_3GuideWalk_2
We welcome anyone to join in this event but especially invite any Japanese youth who would like the chance to chat with foreigners in English.
The “Bird Talk” session will be open to anyone who would like to informally share their stories of bird parks, bird tours and/or pretty pictures that you would like to share with other participants. We will provide the laptop, projector, and a CD/DVD reader, so if you have a power-point or a slide show, please bring your digital data. Ideally, each individual can speak 5-10 minutes and show photos from their adventures abroad. This time would also include Q&A time as well. If time allows, the Bird Park staff will show local birds and seasonal scenes from the bird park. Let’s enjoy swapping stories!

What to bring: Field clothes and shoes (things that are ok to get dirty and or muddy), long sleeve and long pants, drink, your lunch, raincoat in case of inclement weather, and binoculars. The Bird Park offers binoculars that can be loaned out to you for free. Please inform us of your wish to give a 5-10 minute talk when you sign up.

Contact the office directly by email if you are interested in participating in the event. Please tell us your name, age and sexuality by 25th April. Please wait for a reply email for your confirmation of registration.
