Event Details:
Annual Spring Festival at the Bird Park will showcase many activities for participants ranging from Festival food vendors, Nature Crafts, Special Presentations and Live Music! All special features and talks are for Japanese language speakers. No English language support provided during the event.
Keynote Speaker: Eiji Nakatsu, Retired JR Engineer and train designer who used design elements that were inspired by birds and nature to create unique designs. He developed the popular 500 Series Shinkansen Bullet Train which runs in West Japan’s train lines.

Other activities include: Explore the creatures living in the shoreline habitat with Mr. Youji Yamada advisor for public TV - ETelevision nature shows. Make animal masks with illustrator Mrs. Sonoko Sahara. Make handmade sea shell decorations with staff from Oomori Nori Museum. Collect “animals” in the Stamp Rally points throughout the festival. Experience harvesting vegetables from the garden (and take some home) from 9:30am and 12:30pm. The first 200 people who come will receive a blueberry plant for free!
