As spring comes closer, the migratory birds urged to reserve energy for their coming long journeys. They are apt to be absorbed in foraging.

At the entrance of Nature Centre a Dusky Thrush rummaged among fallen leaves for feeding.

On the tidal flats between Observation hut 1 and 2, a Common Snipe was in search of prey.

They were so enthusiastic about feeding that visitors were able to observe them in close distances.

The park is still in a chilly weather depending on the day.

However, the birds in the park seem to be moving toward the spring.

A pair of Bull-headed Shrikes was observed with the male in courtship displays.IMG_0004

He repeatedly stretched his body as long as possible and turned the face alternatively right and left from the female, as if they were playing a game of “rock-paper- scissors”.

The Black-faced Bunting, a typical secretive species in the park, currently often comes out shrubs and thickets.
